HEARD ABOUT ESE?

Image
Have you heard about Ese?  Golden black Ese as we used to call her.  Her skin so beautiful that most people called her the goddess of the black race.  She went to papa Ijebu, who mixed pepper with lemon water, he added a little bit of carol white and a pinch of something which name, I can't recall. Suddenly the black in her skin vanished like magic, she was now "African snow white"  and she reigned in her head and her new found skin.  Ese was walking on the air, almost like her new skin gave her super powers.  Awhile later, there were cracks, itches, scratches and peelings... Her body was at war with itself.  Ese's skin changed colors more rapidly than a chameleon, no one could keep up. Then came the decay that went from her skin deep inside of her and in a flash, she was gone.   Ese died trying to be who she wasn't, she was so dissatisfied with being black in a black skin and I wonder why, what is so wrong with being black?

HOW MUCH TIME IS ENOUGH TIME? Part 1

Since Chadwick Bossman's death, I've had this great feeling of sadness and an usual feeling of gratitude. The gratitude is not for his passing but for God giving him just enough time to do the most with what was left of his life and for him been brave enough to take it.

"Enough time?"... In 4years and with a deadly case of cancer, Chadwick was not just able to live his dreams, he touched lives and gave somany something to dream about. He certainly challenged us all even in death.
He really thought me to face my fears and do my best in my worst times. I learned from him that excuses are okay but they are not enough to stop or hinder you from reaching your goals.

How much time is enough time when it comes to life, dream and purpose? Well, I think whatever time we get in life is just enough time but how we use it, is where the magic lies.

To be honest, I'm one of those people that worry etra over things I wanted to achieve  but didn't achieve. I worry so much about set goals that fell through and I know we are so many on this particular boat. But seriously why worry about things we can't change? For all the times we worried what difference did it make? Truth is we spend way too much time worrying about things that didn't work out for us than we do on actually working on making it work.

Doors might have been shut against you. You may have been told NO a million times. Family and friends may have given up on you and you may have even given up on yourself. But you still have everyday you get as a gift from God to try and push harder on your dreams. How much time is enough time? Well I will say anytime and everytime you get is enough time.

Be less conscious of your delays and setbacks, focus more on your dreams and goals. When your moment comes,be attentive enough to cease it.

"Oh I'm 30 and I haven't achieved anything" well, you are not the first,so stay focused and keep  pushing.
"Oh I'm 48 and nothing is working for me" well keep dreaming and pushing hard on your dreams. You will surely get your time and stage and if you do or say the right things, you will not only change your world but that of others. Even if it's a day or a minute that you get, just make it count because it's enough time.

Time is what we have had,are still having and hopefully will still have if God permits. Keep doing your best even in the face of challenges and when you fail do it all over gain. Until we can't breathe, what ever time we get is enough time. I just hope my  unplanned write up is enough to encourage you to keep trying despite the obvious limitations.  The challenges are big but they are not bigger than you.

I planned on wrting something else but this came up instead...I guess it's for someone and I hope you get the message.

Rest well in God's bosom Chadwick
